SETH’S WORLD
SETH’S WORLD
So, here I am on the Web again, but now, with my very own domain name. I first burst onto the Internet in 1997 with two Geocities websites. One was devoted to my family history discoveries, and the other to movie and restaurant reviews. I later did an HTML-driven online diary—I guess I was blogging before we named that activity. As Apple started realizing people wanted to share more on the Web, I had some photo albums online via Homepage and iWeb.
When I am not living on the Web, I am a former publishing industry professional with 20 years under my proverbial deadline-oriented belt. I also finished my Masters of Library Science, became a certified New York State librarian, and had my dream job—as a librarian at the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society. And now, while the Great Recession has sidelined many of us (most importantly, me), I await the next great research-oriented opportunity, while I teach myself more about DIV, CSS, and XML on my own, while working on the SLA-NY Employment Task Force.
